Taking Root is a Reggae/Ska/Rock band from South Lake Tahoe California. We have a variety of songs ranging from classic to current reggae and top forty hits with over 3 hours of cover songs and originals. Our set-list includes classic reggae songs from Bob Marley to Modern reggae hits like Slightly Stoopid, Dirtyheads ,Sublime and Rebelution. Taking Root also plays alternative and classic rock songs with our own reggae twist. Our band has played well over 350 gigs to date and enjoy interacting and playing to the crowd. We consist of 4 members who have been in the local music scene for 10 plus years as accomplished and serious musicians.
