Death Metal Legends Suffocation began in Long Island NY, in 1988. Since then, they released foundational classics like “Effigy For The Forgotten’ (1991), ‘Breeding The Spawn’ (1993), ‘Pierced From Within’ (1995), ‘Souls To Deny’ (2004), ‘Suffocation’ (2006), ‘Blood Oath’ (2009), ‘Pinnacle Of Bedlam’ (2013), ‘Of The Dark Light’ (2017).. Along with various live albums, Best Of releases, and EP’s’ throughout the years, their newest offering of brutality ‘HYMNS FROM THE APOCRYPHA’ (2023), is arguably the bands most sonically punishing album to date.

Suffocation is widely recognized as major innovators of death metal. They had a massive amount of influence on the genre and are hailed as one of the first true legends who pioneered the balance of brutal and technical sounds commonly heard today.
