He is the lead vocalist for post-hardcore and progressive rock bands Circa Survive, Saosin, The Sound of Animals Fighting, and L.S. Dunes, while also pursuing a prolific solo career. He later joined bands like Jeer at Rome, High and Driving, and Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer, contributing vocals to their self-titled debut album (2002). In 2003, Green moved to Southern California to join Saosin, recording the influential EP Translating the Name (2003), which became an underground hit. He left Saosin in 2004 to form Circa Survive, which released critically acclaimed albums like Juturna (2005), On Letting Go (2007), and Blue Sky Noise (2010).
